From that day onward this non-profit, voluntary organisation first breathed life. Today our membership consists of over 150 talented artists. We are now East Gippsland’s largest community art organisation, wholly self-funded and governed by a volunteer Committee of Management. Key Objectives To encourage and promote Art to the Community. To present Art Exhibitions for Members and Public Viewing. To annually elect a Volunteer Committee of Management. To offer low cost Membership of the Society. To maintain and improve a well equipped facility for Members for a wide range of art related programs. To offer comprehensive Art Education programs at a low cost to Members. To offer trips to major Art Exhibitions and art related events. To publish a Monthly Newsletter to Members. To liaise with and foster good relationships with other Art Groups. To invest the funds of the Society as directed by the Committee. To financially assist worthy causes as agreed by the Committee. Constitution The Bairnsdale and District Arts Society is an Incorporated Association, Registration Number A0010181W.
