Mother's Day Art Show May 2022

Our Mother's Day Art Show was a great success. Held in St Johns Church Hall in Bairnsdale on Saturday 7^th and Sunday 8^th May 2022, the venue was very well lit enabling the paintings to be shown to their best advantage.

Opening night saw Tim Bull MP and The Hon Darren Chester presiding over the award presentations. Judge Libby Witchell commented on the high standard of the 157 entries. As well as the usual flowers, landscapes and portraits, cattle were a popular subject. Thirty-eight (38) paintings were sold including some unframed items.

Louise Minihan was the winner of the raffle and the Native Flower arrangement (donated by Native Bunches of Sarsfield) was won by Lucinda Jakobi.

Thank you to everyone who helped in any way. Thank you Lightfoot and Sons for the dozen red wine, Joy from Native Bunches, Sarsfield for the floral arrangement door prize and thank you to the Venables for the loan of a trailer for transporting art stands to and from the hall. And of course thank you Jan Fregon for the raffle prize.
