Margaret Lomas is a life member of the Bairnsdale and District Arts Society. She has been painting in Watercolour for many years. You can view samples of her beautiful watercolour artwork in the slideshow above.

“Recently I ventured into the world of Pastels, Oils and Coloured Pencil, works which I have found challenging. I would not claim to specialize in any particular subject, however I do like painting sailing boats, sea and shore, old buildings and portraiture.

My love of yachts and the sea and shore was fostered during eight years living aboard a small yacht and sailing the East Coast of Australia and a trip to Papua New Guinea.

I have painted many old buildings and lighthouses around Eastern Australia and Tasmania, some in Watercolour and some in Pen and Ink and Wash.

I will undertake any commission for portraiture, be it house, pet, boat or a loved one. All that is required is a really good photograph.”
